CACILHAS
Visit the church of Our Lady of Good Success, with tile panels of XVII century, and the frigate Dom Fernando e Gloria, the last ship on the 'India career’. Follow the river path of Cais do Ginjal, find the terraces of the restaurants Atira-te ao Rio and Ponto Final and enjoy the best views of Lisbon and the 25th of April Bridge. Ahead take the panoramic lift of the Boca do Vento, which leads to the 'old town', and visit Casa da Cerca, dedicated to Contemporary Art, and the viewpoint of the Castle.
LISBON
The river careers to the historic city center are 200 meters away from the apartments. The trip is a fun ten minute stroll, which provides unique views of the Capital, the 25th of April Bridge and the Tagus Estuary. Children will love it. The crossing ends at Cais do Sodré, where are all the links to visit the city and surroundings : metro, buses, trams and trains to Cascais. The main points of interest such as Bairro Alto, Chiado or Baixa are at walking distance .
Caparica Beaches
The 'Costa ' has several beaches , though it is a single line of sand without interruption. Some of them benefit of small beach restaurants with stunning views over the sea, and where you can eat very good fish.
Procession of Our Lady of Good Success
Every year, since 1755, after the earthquake of the 1st November, on this same day there is the procession of N.ª Sra. do Bom Sucesso (Our Lady of Good Success), the patron of this parish who, according to tradition, saved Cacilhas and its population from being engulfed by the fury of the river Tagus.(CMA)
